Porsche was too sophisticated to talk about building a four door convertible. At one time, the rumors were set off as insiders said Porsche has canceled building one. However, renewals and fresh patent applications in the United States indicate otherwise.
Earlier this week, we have had the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster, and now Panamera Convertible leaked through patent drawings, marking a new era in the upcoming luxury convertibles.
There is no word on as to when this vehicle will debut but this new convertible with soft top has a practical four-door body and to strengthen more angled windscreen, small quarter windows have been added at the base of the A-pillar.
Panamera convertible will be having the same basic dimensions as the hardtop sedan. However, it will be heavier to a two door version for the structural work is necessary to keep it rigid and stiff, particularly when there is no B-pillar.
