It’s a 1923 Ford T-Bucket and is up for the grab on eBay. Surprisingly, all its parts other than windshield and frame brackets are hand-built or borrowed from something else.
It has a Boeing 502 Series Gas Turbine Engine that govt. once used in helicopters and anti-submarine drones. With its Max Continious rating of 160hp, 1923 Ford T-bucket has a custom built bellhousing to accept a Freshly Overhauled Sundstrand Hydrostatic pump, taken from an IHC 715 Combine.
On the other, this car runs on freshly rebuilt sundstrand hydraulic motor attached directly to the differential. It has a cyclic stick from Bell 47 Helicopter for steering which is also used to control the forward and reverse.
The vehicle also has a 400-cubic-inch accumulator for steering boost and the engine speed is controlled by a Throttle Quadrant from a Lear 25 Jet Aircraft. It also has an ex-Learjet throttle quadrant between the seats and an automatic shutdown function in case of low oil pressure.
Well, that’s enough to show the pure craftsmanship and if you really wanna ride this vehicle, bid for the same is open at eBay till March 09, 2010.
