To mark the 40th anniversary of model maker Tomica and the Fairlady Z itself, Japanese jewel maker, Ginza Tanaka, has made one of a kind replica of the toymaker’s die-cast 1970 Nissan Fairlady Z432.

Approximately, 7.4 ounces of platinum is used to replicate the original 1970 Nissan Fairlady Z 432 Tomica and the toy has $76,500 price tag which is due to the high cost of platinum. This toy car also comes up with a box made of 8.5 ounces of platinum, which is 35× the weight of the cardboard box a Tomica car is normally packed in.

This all Platinum Tomica is approximately 7 centimeters long and weighs about 210 grams. The body, seats, tires, and even the packaging itself are all made of pure platinum and it took approximately entire month of repeated polishing to obtain its deep and brilliant shine.

On the top of this, this platinum Tomica also stays true to the functional aspects of the Tomica line, allowing for its doors to open and close and its tires to move. However, the Platinum Tomica not for sale and if you love to have a look, it will be put on display in Osaka between April 23 and May 5.
