Our future solely relies on eco-friendly electric cars, as long as we’re serious about saving our environment. And here is a project that aims at developing small electric cars that are not only easy to drive and occupies less space at parking lots, but easy to produce as well.
Christened as Peugeot 1001 Nimble, this car is Portuguese designer Tiago Alves’ imagination and is a lively vehicle for the short distant travel only. The all electric car’s body rests on four equal spheres, each having 350mm diameter.
Each sphere is driven by two magnetically united electric motors (taking the tally of electric motors to 8) that allow the vehicle free moments in all direction together with 360º rotation around itself which can be done even when the vehicle is on the go.
Electric motors are installed on the floor of Peugeot 1001 Nimble and other than providing power to the vehicle, electric motors help improve its stability with its own weight.
Access to car’s interior is made possible through two remote controlled lateral doors. Each door is operated through a special mechanic arm that has duel function: to provide outwards traveling and upwards rotation
Another cool feature of the car is its doors that open in Dolorean style. Peugeot 1001 Nimble has its length at 1700 mm, width at 1400mm and height at 1700mm. The white colored materials of the interior provide a sophisticated ambience to the occupant.
