The images and details of the much talked about hardcore version of the Lexus LFA has been leaked in Japan. Dubbed as Nurburgring Edition, this car is a harder, leaner, yet faster version of the current LF-A.
This race-car is to participate in the upcoming 24-hour Nürburgring endurance race from May 13th to the 16th, 2010. Lexus LF-A Nurburgring Track Edition’s power has been increased to 570hp with a reworked exhaust system, which is more 10hp more than Lexus LF-A.
Additionally, this special edition which is mated to a 6-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox can reach 62mph in just 3.7 seconds with a top seed of 200mph. Lexus LF-A Nurburgring will be offered only in four colors that include black, matte black and bright orange.
On the other, the car has a fixed rear wing, adjustable race spec suspension, a front splitter, and lightweight alloy wheels with track-spec tyres. Its production seems to remain limited as just 500 examples of the ’standard’ LF-A will be built and there are expectations that its prize will start at $375,000.
