In a time when city roads are flooded with vehicles and congestion is increasing with each passing day, safe driving becomes an essential prerequisite. Realizing the situation, Seiko Epson Corporation has come up to the occasion and developed a new four-channel car camera interface IC.

Dubbed as S2D13P04, this new multi-camera analog interface IC for automotive applications is equipped with four NTSC/PAL decoders and is capable of synchronizing images from multiple sides of the vehicle. The device helps eliminate blind spot, resulting in higher level of driving safety.

S2D13P04 can be connected to up to four analog cameras and instantly decode the four video channels. The images from each camera are combined to output a digital signal with a stable frame rate in order to reduce the total number of necessary system components.

The device will be having four video output mode: Fixed mode, Otosukyanmodo, Merge Mode and Konpuresumodo. The other unique feature of the device is its image processing capability by providing composite images, distortion correction, and interlaced/progressive conversion enhancing the navigation for safe driving.
