BMW and Kvadrat, Danish textile company, has something special for this year’s Milan design week. The duo is collaborating with designers Patricia Urquiola and Giulio Ridolfo on the installation of what comes out to be ‘the Dwelling Lab’.
The dwelling lab is constructed from five geometrical cones, which are impacted into a model of the car. This project also explores the interior and exterior of the new BMW 5 series Gran Turismo.
The cones that will make the Dwelling Lab are covered in Kvadrat textiles and provide five different points of view into the vehicle. Dwelling Lab will be at display at the Kvadrat showroom, Corso Monforte 15, in Milan from April 14th-19th, 2010.
