It's official: Jaguar is growing up, literally. The company has finally confirmed that it will add a crossover model to its lineup—as if these spy photos weren't enough of a tip off—and unless the Coventry firm has built a truck before and we don't know it, it should be the tallest vehicle it has ever produced. And Jaguar even gave the new kitty a name: F-Pace. F-Pace? Adorable. Odd.

The crossover—don't call it an SUV; Land Rover handles the SUVs—at least should look good when it arrives as a 2017 model. Indeed, if the vehicle takes even half of its aesthetic cues from the gorgeous C-X17 crossover concept that Jaguar intro'd more than a year ago, it will be a stunner. The only image of the production model provided thus far is the above detail shot of the headlamp and badge. We've been told by Jaguar insiders that we might expect the wraps to come off the entire thing at the New York auto show in April.
