Vehicles Affected: Approximately 195,000 model-year 2010-13 Ford Taurus sedans built from Dec. 1, 2009, through July 31, 2010, and from Feb. 1, 2011, through Nov. 30, 2012; certain model-year 2010-13 Lincoln MKS sedans built from June 2, 2011, through Oct. 31, 2011; and certain model-year 2010-13 Ford Police Interceptor sedans built from Dec. 1, 2009, through July 31, 2010, and Feb. 1, 2011, through Nov. 30, 2012. The Problem: In the affected vehicles, the spring that controls the interior door handles could become unseated. If this happens, the door could become unlatched during a side-impact crash, increasing the risk of injury. Ford is unaware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue. The Fix: Dealers will inspect all four interior door-handle assemblies and repair or replace as necessary, free of charge. What Owners Should Do: Owners should call Ford at 866-436-7332 for more information. Need to Find a Dealer for Service? Go to Cars.com Service & Repair to find your local dealer. More Recalls
