Judging By This Teaser, the New Fast & Furious Movie Will Just Be Two Hours of Jumping Cars

Furious 7The seventh installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise, simply titled Furious 7, is double-clutching its way to theaters this April, and the hype is already revving up. Here, to barely quench your unslakably furious thirst, is a teensy weensy seven-second teaser video released today.
So, what can we extrapolate from this sneakiest of sneak-peeks? Flying cars. Cars flying off piers. Cars flying across campsites. Cars flying through fourth-story plate-glass windows and off cliffs and across intersections and, presumably, through exploding helicopters and across nine states and around the far side of Jupiter.

And while we may sort of roll our eyes at the series' increasing visual hyperbole and dwindling familiarity with the laws of physics, we still love the fact that a car-centric movie franchise is cranking out hit after hyperbolic hit. A generation of gearheads got their first taste of automotive enthusiasm watching a Fast and the Furious movie, and for that we're thankful.

We can't wait to see Furious 7 in all its flying-car glory.
