Apparently over the striptease thing after just one picture, Infiniti has released a full-frontal photo of its upcoming Q60 concept coupe; the car will debut just one week from now under the bright lights of Cobo Center during the 2015 Detroit auto show. Technically, it's a front-three-quarter image, but that's even better, since it shows more of the car's shape, surfaces, and details.
Covered in the requisite amount of brightwork and show-car festoonery—those mirrors and lower bumper innards will never make it to dealerships intact—the concept looks pretty slick and close to production-spec. Its broad, chrome-ringed grille and body-side contours impart a rather less sporting aesthetic than that of the outgoing Q60 née G37, but in any case, it looks far more contemporary than its predecessor. We should see the production car in a few months' time, and a convertible version is highly likely to follow thereafter.

As for what's under the skin, expect the Q60 coupe to share much with its platform-mate, the Q50 sedan. We shall see if Infiniti is able to make the production model as visceral as the car it is replacing, which was always one of the most communicative coupes in the class. Based on our experience with the Q50, though, we're not overly optimistic but are exercising our right to reserve judgment until we slide behind the wheel.
