Put It On Me: Ja Rule’s “The Fast and the Furious” Integra Is For Sale on eBay

The world is gearing up for the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious movie series—it will be called Furious 7and that has everyone a little nostalgic about the franchise's roots. Luckily, if you're searching for a time capsule straight back to 2001, the genuine Acura Integra driven by Ja Rule's character Edwin is up for sale on eBay. Monica, noooo!

The 1996 Integra GS-R is said to be one of four principle cars used in shooting the 2001 film, and the only one that survives. It wears the, ahem, period-correct red-and-yellow paint scheme and boatload of sponsor decals that inspired thousands of high-schoolers to trick out their imports, and the dashboard was signed by Mr. Rule himself.

Edwin's Integra was made famous in the first street-racing scene of the series, though it was seriously undermatched against Dom's RX-7 and Brian's Eclipse, both heavily fortified with nitrous oxide. Relive Edwin's also-ran performance:

.  . . and how it ruined his night (NSFW language).

There's no mention of how the car ended up north of the border in Winnipeg, and aside from its movie provenance and garish aesthetic it's essentially a lightly-modded GS-R with an intake, an exhaust, a clutch and flywheel, a dropped suspension, and additional chassis bracing. Oh, and those nuclear-red seats and four-point racing harnesses.

There's no buy-it-now price, and as of this writing the bidding hasn't met reserve and is hovering in affordable used-car range at $6500. If the seller drops the reserve (or if it isn't much higher than the current bid), someone will end up with a 32,000-mile Integra that just happened to play a small role in the most successful automotive-themed movie series of all time. It's no Eleanor, and so far the price reflects that. But it's a street-racing blast from the recent past, and it'll bring back memories for any gearhead who was young and impressionable (or just impressionable) in 2001.
