Mazda will be busy at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. The Japanese automaker will unveil an all-new subcompact crossover as well as updated versions of its Mazda6 sedan and CX-5 compact crossover. The all-new Mazda CX-3 will slot below the CX-5 and make its world debut at the show on Nov. 19. Although we've seen it, Mazda says its redesigned 2016 MX-5 Miata will also make its North American debut at the show.

Mazda released few details about the new CX-3 crossover, saying only that it will "feature the full-range of SkyActiv technology," the brand's suite of high-compression, direction-injection four-cylinder engines. The CX-3 likely will be based on the Mazda2 subcompact hatchback. A teaser sketch reveals a crossover with a long, low hood; wide-mouth grille; sculpted body side lines; and muscular wheel arches.
The CX-3 will compete in the expanding subcompact crossover class against the likes of the Jeep Renegade, Nissan Juke and Honda's new HR-V, which is also set to take the stage in L.A. Stay tuned for more information as we continue to update our 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show coverage.
