Jaguar's gorgeous F-type R is already a cracking good sports car, one that's factory-rated at 550 snarling horses from its supercharged 5.0-liter V-8. As is typical for Hennessey Performance, though, that wasn't enough. They've turned the wick up with the HPE600 F-type R, to the tune of 623 horses at the crank. Watch and listen as this cat blasts through quarter-mile in less than 11.6 seconds.
First, it's sort of cool to see the car deploy its automatic spoiler, programmed to rise at 70 mph, in the drag strip's burnout box. Then it rips to 60 in 3.5 seconds, on its way to an 11.57-second quarter tripping the lights at 123 mph.

Hennessey says the supercharged cat dynos at 518 rear-wheel horsepower on 93 octane pump gas, and that the screaming quarter-mile was done on the car's stock Pirelli P Zeros at factory-recommended pressures. We believe it—but while the car is of course fast and sounds phenomenal, but we were hoping to see even better numbers. We tested the factory 550-horse car and achieved an identical 0–60 time and a quarter-mile run within 0.3 second and 1 mph. The HPE600 package is applicable to any Jaguar or Land Rover powered by the supercharged 5.0-liter V-8.
