Skipping Chicago after Detroit as far as debuts are concerned, Lexus will unveil its 2016 RX 350 at the 2015 New York Auto Show in April.
Edmunds reports the crossover will grow in size to distance itself from the Toyota RAV4-based NX 200t, while also losing weight through the use of lightweight materials for better fuel economy. The size increase may mean a third-row seat for two more passengers, as well; the RX 350 has always been a five-passenger crossover since its birth in 1998.
As far as styling goes, Lexus' trademark Predator face may be jazzed-up with the rest of the exterior, but the premium brand isn't likely to flip the script on its No. 1 best-seller entirely.
The 2016 RX 350 is set to arrive in showrooms later in 2015.
