I have been toying with the idea of sending users who fail to read the article but leave a negative/snarky comment or a correction with a one week, all expenses paid vacation away from the site. I am open to criticism, corrections, feedback and the like. I can't stand pedantry, like the example shown above. Rather than unilaterally implement this rule, and repeat the mistakes of the "Top Troll" post, I am politely asking you to read the article in full, and then leave a comment.
