Acura to Bring Updated RDX to 2015 Chicago Auto Show, Show Thanks Acura for Caring

2013 Acura RDX

For consumers and dealers, the Chicago auto show has always been a big deal—and that's unlikely to change given the city's huge car market—but manufacturers have increasingly focused even more on Detroit, New York, or L.A. when it comes to big stateside debuts. Well, Chicago, Honda is steppin' in and showing you some love, because in addition to bringing a new Pilot and a Ridgeline pickup teaser to your fair city next month, the brand's luxury arm has confirmed plans to debut an updated RDX crossover in the Windy City.

At this point, Acura isn't elaborating on what changes we can expect. That said, we're fairly certain we'll be meeting a mildly refreshed version and not an all-new model (the current RDX is pictured here). Acura's entry-level crossover was full redesigned for 2013, and the intervening years have seen the brand introduce a new MDX, the all-new TLX mid-size sedan, an updated ILX, and—finally—the NSX sports car. Look for Acura to bring the somewhat doughy-looking RDX's visuals in line with those of the sharper and more tailored recent debuts.
