Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,529 units of the Nissan NV200 van manufactured Feb. 6 through Aug. 2, 2013.
The Problem: In the affected vehicles, improper wire routing could cause a short circuit and blow the battery terminal fuse. If this happens while driving, the fuel pump will stop, causing the engine to stall.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the wiring harness and apply a protective covering to it for free.
What Owners Should Do: Nissan will notify owners starting in mid-December. Owners can call Nissan at 800-647-7261 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 888-327-4236 for more information.
