We think Lamborghini's Gallardo replacement, the Huracán, is pretty damn cool all on its own, and you can bet Lambo's hoping the Huracán builds on the Gallardo's near-volume-model sales—so of course the brains in Sant'Agata are vigorously promoting the new sports car. Enter the "Hexagon Project" YouTube video series, in which a few European dude-bros attempt to see the Huracán before the rest of the world and hatch a plan to break into Lambo's factory in Italy.
- Instrumented Test: 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
- First Drive: 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster
- First Drive: 2014 Ferrari 458 Speciale
To be clear, we don't recommend watching any of the first three (uninteresting) Hexagon Project videos—or breaking into a manufacturer's factory—but the fourth video is cool. Essentially the Euro hooligans get inside the Lamborghini facility, discover the Huracán under a sheet, magically produce a key to said Huracán, and then go and rip some drifts and donuts in the parking lot. Unbelievably, the dudes manage to thoroughly work out the car's 601-hp, 5.2-liter V-10 for quite a while before anyone seems to notice. Anyway, skip over the goofy story portions of the video and cut right to the Huracán doing its thing, and enjoy:
