Ian Douglas, a Canadian, has shown the magic of his creativity in the Warbird Motorcycle design. Ian took almost two years to design this motorcycle and it’s born out of his love for vintage aircraft engines and motorcycles. The Warbird Motorcycle is based on the cylinders and heads from a radial engine, and the accessories related to that motor are from a full-size aircraft engine. This monstrous V-Twin displaces 3129cc, with a bore and stroke ratio of 5.125″ x 4.625″. More Images after the jump.
The engine, as Ian says, is a scratch designed/built power-plant that utilizes WWII radial aircraft cylinders and a one-off hand built crank case. While Ian has designed the whole motorcycle, George Kanavaros, an experienced aviation painter, has taken care of the overall painting of the Warbird.
