This bullet shaped or glorified soapbox look like vehicle you see here is a replica (original doesn’t exist) of Jamais Contente - an electric vehicle that was first to reach a 100kmph. The vehicle was put together back in 1993-1994 by technical students in France. This vehicle has two electric motors enabling it to reach such a speed while each putting 50kw to the rear wheels. Though the batteries in the electric vehicles have always been a stumbling block, yet Contente’s 100 two-volt cells seems to have had enough power to push this bullet shaped 3,197-pound racer to record high velocities. More Images after the jump.
