Cadillac is all set for the first public outing of its brand-new CTS Coupe at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. CTS Coupe is equipped with the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine found in the sedan version. It produces a hefty 556-horsepower and 551 lb.-ft. of torque (747 Nm) propelling the 2+2 coupe from 0-60 mph (96km/h) in just 3.9 seconds.
Its production will start in the middle of this year, and it includes technologies like Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes and an automatic transmission with paddle shift control. As per Cadillac, CTS Coupe has the same wheelbase as the CTS-V Sport Sedan, but its height and length is two inches (51 mm) lower and shorter respectively. Also, the V series Coupe’s unique grill doubles the air intake volume, which is important for the cars high performance requirements.
