Just see the image above and you can take it for a carving on the marble, however it’s a giant 6×3×3mt snow sculpture. Created by Samuel Perathone, this snow sculpture of Valentino Rossi won the 1st prize in the 14th Edition of the Snow Sculpture Competition held in Selva di Val Gardena, Italy.
The competition was organized by the town’s Tourist Association and the theme for the year was ‘Sports Personalities’. The best part of the competition was the runner up, Matthias Kostner, who also created another sculpture of Valentino Rossi. Third place went to Gustav Perathoner who sculpted 2 times Olympic gold medalist Armin Zoeggeler on his luge.
