Ford vs. Ferrari Redux: Henry and Enzo, Young Again

The epic spat 50 years ago between Enzo Ferrari and Henry Ford II resulted in four straight Ford GT40 Le Mans victories and eight trips to the Indy 500 winner's circle for Ford Racing engines. Now that the Ferrari and Ford family trees have sprouted fresh Enzo and Henry buds, this classic rivalry could, theoretically, resume. These descendants have the names, the heritage, and the horsepower to make that happen.

"I enjoy spending time at the track, especially with my father's Scuderia Corsa Grand-Am Rolex series race team," he says. "But before I spend too much time at the wheel of a race car, my family wants me to finish my studies."

Before it was sold, Ford enjoyed driving his father's 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spyder. Likes all racing, but NASCAR, NHRA, and WRC events are his favorites. "In my next life, I hope to be a professional race-car driver," he says.
"I own no Ferraris, though I'm often lucky enough to drive one."
