Because 420 horsepower, roughly 6000 pounds, and a brick-like body aren't recipe enough for terrible fuel economy, Hennessey Performance Engineering has unveiled its latest go-faster package, and it's intended to beef up Cadillac's already beefy 2015 Escalade with a huge increase in power.
Indeed, Hennessey's HPE550 gear bumps the Escalade's 6.2-liter V-8 from 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque to 557 horsepower and 542 lb-ft. Those are big increases, and they come by way of a supercharger kit that comes complete with a Hennessey engine computer calibration, an intercooler, and professional installation. The tuner even tosses in Hennessey-embroidered floor mats, numbered plaques for the dashboard and engine, and HPE550 badges.

Running a gentle 6 psi of boost, Hennessey says the HPE550 should be perfect "for sneaking up on the unsuspecting Mercedes GL63 AMG or Range Rover Sport." We dig that mentality, even if Benz and Rover owners won't. Of course, efficiency probably isn't the HPE550 kit's strong suit, but if you're going to be visiting your local pump frequently, you might as well have 557 Europe-stomping horsepower instead of a mere 420, right?
