Vehicles Affected: About 297 model-year 2013-2014 Jaguar XJ sedans, XF sedans and XK sports cars
The Problem: The toe links, which control the alignment of the rear wheels, can separate from the rear subframe. This could cause a loss of vehicle stability and directional control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Jaguar will notify owners starting around May 27, and dealers will replace the nut and washer assembly on the rear toe links for free.
What Owners Should Do: Owners can call Jaguar at 855-524-8278, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov for more info.
