Recall Alert: 2013-14 Jaguar XF

Jaguar-xf

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 1,589 model-year 2013-14 versions of the XF sedan. Only cars manufactured May through October 2013 and equipped with 2.0-liter engines are affected.

The Problem: The charge air cooler's hose clamp could loosen and fall out of position. If it detaches, the engine could stall, and the driver would lose steering and braking assistance, increasing the risk of a crash. This is an expansion of a previous recall.

The Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the affected parts for free.

What Owners Should Do: Jaguar will notify owners starting in late May. Owners can contact Jaguar at 800-452-4827 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 for more info.
