Land Rover is proud of its sturdy Discovery SUV. Through 25 years and four makeovers (the last two rebranded it in America as the LR3 and LR4), The Discovery has never strayed too far from its rugged roots. Even when the third-gen model appeared in 2004 wearing comparatively homogenized exterior styling and riding on a fancy-pants independent suspension, the Disco's quirky past still managed to shine through, albeit not as brightly.
