Either the National Corvette Museum is playing one hell of an April Fool's joke, or it's exceptionally serious about restoring all eight of the Vettes swallowed up by a sinkhole this February. We're talking, of course, about the museum's Facebook post declaring: "While hurt, it will be saved!" in reference to the ZR1 Spyder concept it just raised from the sinkhole's depths. Take a good look at the photo above—does that car look salvageable?

Much like how you can milk anything with nipples, as the saying goes, we suppose you can restore anything from the most meager of leftover scraps. Hey, at least the ZR1 Spyder has wheels and, uh, some engine, but as far as we can tell, its "restoration" would be easier if GM simply made a new one. So far, the ZR1 Spyder is the sixth Corvette to be raised from the sinkhole, following the ZR1 Blue Devil, 1993 40th Anniversary coupe, 1962 coupe, 1992 1,000,000th Corvette, and the 1984 PPG Pace Car.
