Smart Fortwo Brabus Xclusive Red Edition: Fortwo-itously Red

Smart Fortwo Brabus Xclusive Red Edition: Fortwo-itously Red

Smart and its longtime German tuning partner Brabus have whipped up yet another hopped up (well, as hopped up as a Smart can get) version of the pint-sized Fortwo, called the Brabus Xclusive red edition. Available in coupe and convertible form, the Xclusive red edition features monochromatic Jupiter red paint, titanium-tinted headlamp bezels, a sportified suspension, and 16-inch front and 17-inch rear six-spoke wheels in black, silver, or matte gray.

Inside, the red-on-red super-Smart features black Brabus leather seats with red top stitching, a Brabus three-spoke steering wheel with shift paddles, and more Brabus branding on the gear shift and headrests. Standard equipment includes heated seats, side airbags, power windows, automatic climate control and, with the coupe body style, a panoramic roof.

Powered by a tiny, 101-hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine mounted behind the seats, the little Smart will certainly be able to move better than the one we get in the U.S., which gets by with only 74 horses. Brabus also throws in sportier transmission tuning and a sport exhaust to sport up the Xclusive red edition experience.

Of course, this isn't the first Brabus-ized Smart we've ever seen—Smart and Brabus have been working together since 2000—and they're always rather amusing, if not terribly stirring, and alas, like most of its predecessors, this one will not come to the U.S.
