M is for Mega: 2015 BMW M3 Pricing Surfaces

2015 BMW M3

After dropping out of hot-rod school for a few years, the M3 sedan returns for 2015 a sharper and more focused daily driver with a modestly inflated base price. The 2015 M3 sedan starts at $62,925, a $5350 bump from when the four-door M3 was last offered back in 2011. The price difference could swell even further if the six-cylinder-powered M3 receives a gas-guzzler tax; the previous, V-8–powered M3 carried $1300 in such taxes.

The new M3 can now, for the first time, be had with carbon-ceramic brakes for an additional cost of $8150. Further options include the Driver Assistance Plus package ($1900), which adds blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, autonomous braking, and side-view camera. The Executive package ($4300) throws in a head-up display, a backup camera, parking sensors, heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel, satellite radio, keyless entry, and headlamp washers.

A six-speed manual is standard fare, while the seven-speed M DCT dual-clutch automatic is a $2900 option. Shoppers can opt for a sunroof for no added cost, but it'd be a shame to add such weight so high up, especially when the four-door comes standard with an exposed carbon-fiber roof.
