Today at its glitzy Geneva launch for the RC F Sport and RC F GT3 race car, Lexus announced that very soon, it will reveal the production version of the brutally styled LF-NX crossover. (And that it will be named simply "NX.") In fact, the sub-RX350-sized crossover's debut is just over a month away, scheduled for the 2014 Beijing auto show.

- Instrumented Test: 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 BlueTec
As we've said before, we expect the NX to utilize a turbo four and possibly a hybridized powertrain. It will definitely be sold in Europe, but you can bet it also will come to the U.S. to give Lexus a proper BMW X3/Audi Q5/Mercedes-Benz GLK-class competitor. We don't say this often, but let's just hope Lexus actually tones down the concept's origami styling for mainstream consumption—it was a bit in-your-face, to say the least.
