Every Lamborghini since the bull house opened in 1963 has worn Pirelli tires. To celebrate this, Lamborghini is putting Pirelli on a special-edition Aventador LP 700-4, and we don't just mean what's wrapped around the wheels. Witness the Pirelli Edition, with a unique color scheme and Pirelli graphics to remind you exactly whose rubber is tasked with meeting the road.
The Aventador Pirelli Edition follows the same special-sticker-edition formula used by lesser car brands. The supercar gets contrasting black accents on the roof, mirrors, pillars, air intakes, and engine cover. Gloss-bodied models get matte black accents, while those wearing matte paint schemes get glossy black contrasts.
Dual Pirelli logos above the windshield morph into red accent stripes running the length of the roof, echoed in highlights around the front air intakes, and complimenting the chunky red logo and stripe gracing the Pirelli P Zero tires that wrap the gloss black Dione 20 and 21-inch wheels. Inside, black Alcantara with red contrast stitching and a red stripe accent echo the exterior scheme, with Lamborghini and Pirelli names embroidered in the seats and a numbered plaque on the dash.
Aside from all of that, you get the basic LP 700-4 kit: A screaming 691 hp V-12 engine, paddle-shift transmission, pushrod suspension, and all-wheel-drive. Tire-punishing equipment.

Ordering for Coupe and Roadster versions of the Pirelli-emblazoned Aventador opens now, with delivery promised in early summer 2015. If you're in the market for one, maybe spend that time stockpiling extra sets of tires. Just make sure they're Pirellis.
