We don't even have exact horsepower or torque figures for the GT350 yet—Ford is only fessing up to "more than 500″ horsepower and "more than 400″ lb-ft of torque—but we do know exactly when the first publicly available 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will be sold: Saturday, January 17, at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction. The winning bidder for lot No. 3008 will nab a GT350, but not a specific car. It's essentially the right to build a car in the color and with whatever available packages the buyer wants.

It's the same basic concept as the sale of the first normal 2015 Mustang, which occurred nearly one year prior from the GT350's date with destiny. That GT went for $300,000.
The good news is that there will be no reserve; the bad news is that there's roughly a snowball's chance in hell that the thing will sell for a reasonable market price. It's probable that the GT350 will beat its less-manic stablemate's fiscal performance last year in Scottsdale.
As with the GT last year, proceeds from the 2015 GT350 auction will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which funds Type 1 diabetes research. There's not much at the auction listing yet, but you can take a gander here if you'd like.
