Top Gear has been in the news lately thanks to some dust-ups surrounding the show's Patagonia special. But things will soon be back to normal–or as "normal" as anything involving Clarkson, May, and Hammond can be–when Season 22 of the pokey motoring show debuts. Here's the BBC's latest teaser to whet your appetite for automotive mayhem.
It seems Top Gear's tame racing driver, The Stig, had himself a bit of a vacation in the lead-up to Season 22. As with all things Stig, the trip was short on conversation, though he did get some lovely snapshots for the family album. Assuming Stig has a family album, or even family.
But it'll be back to business for the Stig soon enough, and we're glad for that. Rumor has it the new season of Top Gear will debut in January, and will include the requisite far-flung trips and bizarre races. It'll also include a lengthy comparison of the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder, if Clarkson's tweets are to be believed:
@JStefanski11 I'm writing it now. It'll be a half hour special.

We're looking forward to Season 22, whatever it holds. Especially now that the Stig is all rested up.
