With both summer and road-trip season coming to an end, the Cherokee spent the last couple months primarily as an everyday commuter, ferrying our editorial staff to and from work. Like our last update, overall average mileage is down slightly from 23.54 mpg to 23.27 mpg after accumulating 2,046 miles during the past two months.

Winter is quickly approaching and we expect to make good use of the Cherokee's remote start system, which could ding the fuel economy even more depending on how greedy we are and how cold the temperatures get.
