Toyota and Lexus Haul Another Batch of Vehicles to Vegas [2012 SEMA Show]

Toyota and its luxury-arm Lexus aren't exactly known for their outlandishly styled and tuner-friendly lineups. But that hasn't stopped them from bringing a handful of modified cars and trucks to Las Vegas for the 2012 SEMA show. The vehicles vary from a sport-tuned Lexus LS to a Tundra that looks like the inside of a Bass Pro Shop. Follow the jump to get a look at a Vegas lineup stronger in numbers than the Griswold's last trip to the strip.

Lexus Project LS F Sport by Five Axis

Tuner Five Axis didn't bother making its LS F Sport (shown above) any sportier and decided to focus on making it look bad-ass. The tuner installed its own aero kit and painted it Titanium Matte Silver with Pewter Grey accents. The LS F is lowered on an AirRunner air suspension and bolted on is a giant set of 22-inch aluminum wheels with some meaty, low-profile Yokohama tires.

Toyota FJ-S

Toyota's in-house racing division, Toyota Racing Development, took the already-capable FJ Cruiser and introduced another level of capability when it created the FJ-S. TRD adds an intercooled supercharger to the 4.0-liter V-6 and a cat-back exhaust for a total of 345 hp. The FJ-S receives a slight lift courtesy of its Bilstein shocks, while new 17-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, a brush guard, and rock rails exemplify its off-road prowess. The interior is redone in two-tone leather, and FJ-S logos are printed on the seat backs and floor mats.

Toyota Ultimate Fishing Tundra

The Ultimate Fishing Tundra is the truck you want to take on your next fishing trip. This Tundra comes equipped with a supercharged 5.7-liter V-8, a 12-inch (yes, that's a foot) lift, and a big-brake kit. Twenty-inch wheels wear huge mud tires, and a pre-runner–style bumper with a brush guard helps the truck get through just about anything in its way. This Tundra comes pre-stocked with fishing rods, bait, and tools, so it's as ready to hit the water as Bill Dance. The interior features a custom dash and console, yellow-and-black leather upholstery, a tackle-storage drawer, a TV monitor, and a Kicker sound system with three subwoofers. Consider it a mobile man-cave for outdoorsmen.

Toyota Avalon TRD Edition

We can already hear you asking, "why would anyone bother to mod a Toyota Avalon?" This is SEMA, bizarre things happen. As with many of the cars Toyota is bringing, this Avalon's 3.5-liter V-6 adds a TRD supercharger for some extra kick. The suspension is redone with new shocks and lowering springs; larger brakes with six-piston calipers up front and four-pistons in the rear bring the car to a stop. The Avalon TRD rides on custom 19-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and wears a two-tone paint job. Tinted taillights and polished dual exhaust give the rolling-couch champion a sportier look. Perforated leather with red piping and accent stitching adorn the interior, while custom door- and instrument panels bring the exterior's look inside. A JBL 15-speaker sound system with two trunk-mounted subwoofers finish up the modifications.

Toyota Avalon HV Edition

This car sets out to disprove the stereotype that all hybrids are boring. Based on the Avalon hybrid, it gets a lot of the same modification as the Avalon TRD, including a new suspension, new brakes, new tires, and a new sound system. Setting the HV apart from the TRD is the hybrid-indicating blue tail- and headlights, its white paint scheme, and an altered interior design. Those insides feature seats done in Blue Silver Metallic leather with perforated white seat-inserts, while blue accent stitching and a white headliner really tie the room, er, interior together.

Toyota Avalon DUB Edition

DUB has a tendency to go a bit overboard with its designs, and this Avalon is no different. There are no modifications to the powertrain, but it is lowered on a custom suspension. Dub's Avalon is given the All Blacks treatment with a Brilliant Black exterior finish, matte black 22-inch TIS wheels, and tinted windows and taillights. It wears a custom body kit, a mesh grille, and any portions of the original Avalon that were chromed, now aren't. The interior also is Darth Vader–like with black leather and suede surfaces and a black suede headliner. A JBL sound system is added as well as a custom fiberglass audio installation in the trunk with, you guessed it, black suede accents.
