The 3-series is the heart and the backbone of the BMW brand, and the Munich-based manufacturer obviously thinks it should be expanded beyond the current sedan, coupe, convertible, and wagon. In fact, BMW is likely to divide the lineup into the 3-series and the 4-series, although we won't truly believe it until we've seen it.
