The first commercials from the Lincoln/Matthew McConaughey tie-up have been released, and, well, they're weird. Not weird in a foam-and-panty-dance-party kind of way, but watching Rust Cohle chat with two tons of horned beef from his MKC ain't exactly normal, you know? Both spots seem to be channeling a bit of True Detective vibe. In the second, McConaughey says in a slow, dramatic voiceover that he has been driving "a Lincoln since long before anybody paid me to drive one," which, we might add, also includes The Lincoln Lawyer. But now you know that this celebrity endorsement is all about love and definitely not a truckload of money, even if you learned nothing about the MKC he's driving. Speaking of which—two hands on the wheel, dude. You never know when there's going to be a big-ass bull in the road.
