Ellen Eats “Special Brownies” in Spoof of Matthew McConaughey Lincoln MKC Ad [Video]

Ellen DeGeneres spoofs Lincoln's Matthew McConaughey ad

Lincoln's hiring of Matthew McConaughey for appearances in a fresh round of commercials for the 2015 MKC crossover resulted our being thoroughly weirded out and amused even before a few spoofs of the spots came out. Talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, in her whimsical, matter-of-fact style, may have just topped Conan O'Brien's wonderfully dark spoof with her take on McConaughey's deadpan, tangential MKC performance during her daytime show this week.

For her mocking video, Ellen superimposes herself in the MKC commercial, where she appears to sit in the backseat while McConaughey cracks a thousand-yard stare and mumbles at a bull standing in the road. While pretending—or not?—to eat marijuana-infused brownies, Ellen dishes a few choice cracks at the absurdity of McConaughey's behavior.

While more blunt and to-the-point than Conan's nuanced, True Detective–derived MKC spoof, Ellen's contribution to the Lincoln commercial bashing nonetheless cements ridiculous dialogue as the first thing that comes to mind when we think of the MKC. (This, in spite of our actually rather liking the car.) Have a look at Ellen's spoof here, and we've included Conan's video below that for comparison:
