Which should you buy, 2014 or 2015? 2014
Dodge's seven-passenger Durango SUV received a pretty major update for the 2014 model year, bringing new powertrains, styling and interior appointments to the big traditional truck, so for 2015 Dodge is limiting changes to making the Durango look and sound even cooler.

The popular Rallye Appearance Package is extended to the Limited trim level as well as the base SXT, bringing the R/T's monochromatic look, smoked headlights, ground effects package and 20-inch Hyper Black wheels to the lower trim levels. The Rallye Appearance Package SXT still gets black cloth seats, while the Limited will feature leather, and both models get a dual exhaust on the V-6 trucks.
If you like the "murdered out" look, the Blacktop Appearance Package is now available on the SXT, Limited and R/T models, adding a gloss black grille, badges and 20-inch Gloss Black wheels to the Rallye look.
New for 2015 is the arrival of the Beats by Dr. Dre audio system, a 13-speaker high-end stereo that will be standard on the R/T, optional on Citadel models and part of a package on the Limited.
Rounding out the changes is the availability of red Nappa leather on the Durango R/T, joining already available black as part of the Premium Nappa Leather Group option. Both the red leather and the Beats by Dre audio system will be available in early 2015.
Since the Durango is mechanically unchanged, if you like the look of the new appearance packages, wait for the 2015 models. But if you want basically the same truck for what is sure to be a much better price, go find a 2014 while they're still on dealer lots.
