Subcompact SUVs are all the rage these days with new entries from Jeep, Chevrolet and Fiat; Honda won't be left out of the party with its new-for-2016 HR-V. Based on the subcompact Fit hatchback, it slots below the CR-V in size and shares its powertrain with the Civic.

Despite its tiny footprint, Honda says the HR-V will offer loads of passenger and cargo room inside thanks to the crossover's center-mounted fuel tank, which opens up room in the cabin, and the Magic Seat front passenger seat, which can fold completely flat for increased storage space.
