There had surely been occasions when your vehicle breaks down in the midst of motorway, and you are left with no other option but to wait for the AA van to arrive. The other thing you can do now is to look up to the sky – surely not to ask God for help but to AA Rocketmen.
AA Rocketmen is the latest launch of the breakdown rescue service and is a rapid response to take you out of the difficult situation. The Rocketmen will use lightweight jet-packs to hover over traffic jams and will reach out to the stranded motorist in need of help.
Made of lightweight carbon fiber tools, AA jetpack will have a top speed of 100km/h and weight 113kg. It will use Satellite services of Trafficmaster for better navigation and requires no license to fly it. This jetpack with hand controls has a £42,000 price tag per unit.
The testing for the accuracy of the service is on and will be carried out on the M25 between Surrey and Heathrow Airport between dawn and noon on 1st April, 2010. If proved successful, it’ll mark a big leap for AA as so far was its operation with fleet of vans; motorcycles and electric scooters were limited to the grounds only.
