Wildlife photography is a hard nut to crack wherein more than wasting time, you risk your life. However, here is a solution – a remote controlled BeetleCam which is especially designed to avoid the mauling from wild animal yet brings perfect shots that you otherwise have missed.

BeetleCam – a four wheel drive buggy rigged up by amateur Will Burrard-Lucas and his brother Matthew and is fitted with Canon EOS 400D on top. The BettleCam can click photos from a ground level perspective.

Robotic Buggy which can better be called a wildlife photography robot is also equipped with a couple of flashes and enough torque and battery life to power. To build this buggy, Burrard-Lucas brothers used a Lynxmotion robot chassis and a Hitech 6-channel radio control.

Brothers reinforced the chassis and replaced wheels with bigger and sturdier versions. Buggy is powered by two 7.2 Volts Ni-MH 2800mAh battery pack from Lynxmotion that offers day-longer power to the device. And in order to make it user-friendly, the camera has been interfaced with the same controller that is used to drive the buggy.
