Racing is all about unlimited fun, goose bumps, going mad, doing everything to outrun your competitors, breaking records…and god knows what not but everything ‘unlimited’ and by unlimited I mean ‘anything and everything’ goes.

One such racing competition is Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Unlimited Class that gives freedom to racing teams create any type of racing car without any bondage on tires, weight, horsepower, whatever braking system or drivetrain the racers want.

With the intent to fight and make mark in the Pikes Peak racing event, Hyundai put the wraps off to Hyundai Genesis PM580. Fabricated by Rhys Millen Racing, the car is especially designed to take part in the completion to be held on June 27, 2010.

Hailed as RMR Hyundai Genesis PM580, the vehicle is patterned after a modern Le Mans-style car. The ultimate machine gets power from a 4.1-liters Hyundai Lambda turbocharged V6 that churns out massive 750hp. However, the power is more than needed to tackle the mountain, so the brand is making mind to detune engine to 675-hp.

The target weight of Genesis PM580 is 1,850 pounds. The other features of the car include a carbon fiber aerodynamic body with an active rear wing – creating less drag in the straight-aways and more stability in cornering and braking along with a central differential, allowing 10-100% torque distribution to front wheels.
