It wasn’t too long ago that we said goodbye to our long-term 2008 Lexus IS F after 40,000 miles. If we were to pick up another, it’d have a collection of new features that are standard for 2010 models.

The main change is the addition of a limited-slip rear differential. The new year also heralds a new 19-inch wheel design (not pictured) and the addition of standard satellite radio and voice recognition for the IS F’s infotainment system.

Update: We erroneously reported that the IS F was getting a brake-based electronic limited-slip differential for 2010. Truth is, as several commenters helpfully point out, the IS F launched with that system and is instead getting a real Torsen mechanical limited-slip diff next year. While we do rigorously fact-check all of our work here on the site and in the magazine, we’re only as good as the press materials that manufacturers provide. In this case, we were misled by this press release, which appears to mostly be a copy-and-paste job based on the 2009 IS F document and describes the brake-based system of old. Whoops. Some PR departments fact-check their releases, and then there’s Toyota.
