This 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster Replica on eBay looks like quite interesting, simply because of the seller’s choice of vehicle for conversion. It is a Porsche 356 Speedster, but the seller changed the body; the car now has a fiberglass body over a steel tube frame, making it much lighter than the original.
Powering the vehicle is a custom built electric system, with a 193hp DC motor getting juice from a 23 kWh of lithium iron phosphate storage. The cells are arranged at the back and front of the car, and are good for 2000 cycles if charged to 80% to their capacity. This puts the range of the EV at 85 miles, and max speed is marked at 95mph. The car has 3900 miles on the meter, though most of that would probably be from its pre-EV life. The current bid is at $25,100 though the reserve hasn’t been met.
