Jaguar is partnering with hoity-toity retailer Neiman Marcus on a limited-edition version of the new XJL Supercharged to be featured in the 2009 Christmas Book. Traditionally, each year’s edition of the holiday catalog (we’re pretty sure the gifts are good for Hanukkah and other special occasions, too) offers a different car—last year brought seven special Hennessey Vipers, while the reborn 2002 Ford Thunderbird was launched with a 200-car offering. For 2009, Neiman Marcus will sell 50 XJL Supercharged models for $105,000 each.
All Neiman Marcus XJLs will be painted Celestial Black metallic and wear polished, 20-inch split-spoke wheels. The two-tone interior is finished in navy blue and ivory leather with Zebrano matte wood and is complemented by a matching five-piece navy blue luggage set. A plaque in the cabin also calls out the special edition’s specialness.
Those who want to be among the first to have their 2010 XJL valet-parked will have to get on the horn to Neiman Marcus [866.524.6963] promptly at noon on Friday, October 16 to place an order.
