Last year at this time, Ford debuted the refreshed 2015 version of its hot Focus ST at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K. This year, Ford is tackling the famous hill climb with a car that could make one forget all about the ST, at least for a minute: the wicked, all-wheel-drive Focus RS.
-We just learned that Focus RS will pack 345 ponies, and you can hear them all whinnying—make that revving and crackling and popping—as the car charges and spins and power-slides around Ford's Lommel proving grounds in Belgium during its "final shakedown" before making its first public dynamic appearance at Goodwood. Also on full display in this one-minute video is the car's "Drift Mode," which festival goers surely will see for themselves when Focus RS dynamic consultant and drift czar Ken Block runs the car up the hill this weekend.

For those who aren't lucky enough to be able to get to Goodwood this weekend—unfortunately, that includes most of us here—videos like this may be as close as we get until the car arrives Stateside next spring. Needless to say, we can't wait.
