The next new Alfa product after the 4C sports car would be a sedan, we knew that much. And that was well and truly confirmed once blurry photos of the new Alfa hit the internet a day before the official unveiling. But even so, very little concrete information had been known about the new Alfa Romeo four-door, which carried the code name Giorgio. To keep the car's development quiet, a team called the Skunk Works, named for the group of engineers at Lockheed who worked on government programs under secrecy, conceived and engineered the new car in two years without much assistance outside of Alfa Romeo proper.
